Performance Event Meaning

The RPLCUR event indicates the current value of the optical power received by the laser.

Performance Event Attributes

Performance Event ID Performance Event Type

SDH performance event

Impact on the System

This performance event does not affect the system. When the input optical power is high, the laser is damaged; when the input optical power is low, the laser cannot detect signals.

Check the range of input optical power allowed by the receive port to determine whether the input optical power is normal.

Possible Causes

Count the current value of the optical power received by the laser. This value shows the physical performance, which exists after the laser is online.

Relevant Alarms

Alarm Name Correlation

The received optical power is abnormal.

  1. Check the received optical power of the line board. Perform the following operations according to the values of the received optical power.
    1. If the optical power is high, add a signal attenuator to the transmission line.
    2. If the optical power is low, minimize the signal attenuation during transmission or increase the transmitted optical power at the opposite station.
    3. If the optical power is normal, replace the board.
