Description

The PWR_TEMP_OVERTH alarm indicates that the temperature of the power module crosses the specified threshold.

Parameters

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of the PWR_TEMP_OVERTH alarm are as follows:

  • The power module is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the fans are working normally.

    If... Then...

    The fans stop working or are faulty

    Restart or replace the fans. Check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, go to the next step.

    Go to the next step.

  2. Check whether the ambient temperature is high.

    The ambient temperature is high Decrease the ambient temperature to the specified range, and then check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, go to the next step.

  3. Check whether the power module is faulty.
