A large number of service bit errors are generated, or frames cannot be aligned.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The input signals are not E3/T3 signals.
  • The input clock signals on the PDH side are lost.


  1. Check whether the input signals are E3/T3 signals.

    If... Then...

    The input signals are not E3/T3 signals

    Set the signals transmitted by the interconnected PDH equipment to E3/T3 signals. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, go to the next step.

    The input signals are E3/T3 signals

    Go to the next step.

  2. Reseat the E3/T3 tributary board. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    If the services traveling through the tributary board are not configured with protection, reseating or replacing the tributary board interrupts the services.
    If... Then...

    The alarm persists

    Replace the E3/T3 tributary board.

    The alarm is cleared

    Contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
