Description

The E1DCN_SNCP_MM alarm indicates a mismatch between E1 DCN and E1 SNCP. When the E1 DCN status (enabled or disabled) is different on the working and protection paths of E1 SNCP, this alarm is reported by the source E1 port of E1 SNCP on which the E1 DCN is disabled.

After an E1 SNCP switchover occurs, services are interrupted, or the NE becomes unreachable to the NMS.

Possible Causes

Procedure

  1. Cause: The E1 DCN status is different on the working and protection paths of E1 SNCP.
    1. Query the alarm on the NMS. Determine the board that reports the alarm, and determine the number of the path that reports the alarm based on alarm parameters.
    2. Query the E1 DCN status of the path on the NMS. For details, see Querying the Status of E1 DCN Channels in the Feature Description.
    3. Modify the E1 DCN status to ensure consistent E1 DCN status on the working and protection paths of E1 SNCP. For details, see Setting DIP Switches of E1 DCN Channels in the Feature Description.
    4. Check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
