Communication alarm


When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Parameter 1

Indicates the number of configured timeslots.

Parameter 2

Indicates the number of actually received timeslots.

Impact on the System

After the C3794_SLOTNUM_ERR alarm is generated, services are interrupted.

Possible Causes

The possible cause of this alarm is that the C37.94 service bandwidth is incorrectly configured.


  1. Correct the C37.94 service bandwidth configuration. In the Main Topology, right-click the desired NE and choose NE Explorer. In the NE Explorer, click the board, choose Configuration > PDH Interface, and then change the value of Number of C37.94 Timeslot.
