ODUk_PM_LCK

Description

The ODUk_PM_LCK alarm indicates that ODUk PM signals are locked. The LCK function is used to lock signals of a desired user access point during testing. When the signals of an access point are locked, the value of the STAT byte is 101 and an ODUk_PM_LCK alarm is reported.

k indicates the level of rate, its value is 0, 1, 2, 3, or flex.

Possible Causes

The signals of an access point are manually locked to test the associated fiber line.

Procedure

  1. On the NMS, locate the board that reports an ODUk_PM_LCK alarm by querying its slot ID, optical port ID, and channel ID.
  2. Set LCK Insertion to Disabled on the board, to prevent insertion of an LCK signal to downstream NEs.
  3. Check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei engineers to handle the alarm.
