Description

The C3794_RDI alarm indicates that data reception of C37.94 services at the remote end fails.

Impact on the System

This alarm does not affect services at the local end, and data reception of services at the remote end fails.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The opposite end receives the DDN_LFA or C3794_AIS alarm.
  • The receive device at the opposite station is faulty.
  • The transmit device at the local station is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the DDN_LFA or C3794_AIS alarm is reported on the board at the opposite station.

    If... Then...
    The DDN_LFA or C3794_AIS alarm is reported

    Refer to the corresponding section in this document to clear the DDN_LFA, C3794_AIS. Then, check whether the RELAY_LOF alarm is cleared. If the RELAY_LOF alarm persists, go to the next step.

    NO DDN_LFA or C3794_AIS alarm is reported Go to the next step.

  2. Perform a cold reset by using the NMS or directly reseat the receive board at the opposite end, and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    If... Then...

    The alarm persists

    Replace the optical module or board. Then, check whether the RELAY_LOF alarm is cleared. If the RELAY_LOF alarm persists, go to the next step.

    The alarm is cleared

    No further action is required.

  3. Perform a cold reset by using the NMS or directly reseat the transmit board at the local end, and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    If... Then...

    The alarm persists

    Replace the optical module or board. Then, check whether the RELAY_LOF alarm is cleared. If the RELAY_LOF alarm persists, go to the next step.

    The alarm is cleared

    No further action is required.

  4. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
