Description

The K1_K2_M alarm indicates inconsistency between the transmitted K1 byte and received K2 byte of a linear multiplex section protection (MSP) group.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The optical fibers are incorrectly connected.

  1. Check whether the optical fibers are correctly connected.

    Reconnect the optical fibers correctly. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, go to the next step.
