E1DCN_64K_CONFLICT

Description

The E1DCN_64K_CONFLICT alarm indicates a timeslot resource conflict between the E1 DCN and 64 kbit/s services. The E1 DCN has priority over other features in using timeslots of 29 to 31. When the timeslots are used by other features, the E1DCN_64K_CONFLICT alarm is reported.

Impact on the System

The 64 kbit/s services that have a timeslot resource conflict with the E1 DCN are interrupted. Other 64 kbit/s services are not affected.

Possible Causes

Cause: The E1 DCN needs to use timeslots of 29 to 31, but these slots are used by other features. Other features include:

  • E1 SNCP
  • 64 kbit/s service cross-connection
  • 8 kbit/s service cross-connection
  • Multiplexer group
NOTE:

This alarm is also reported when the timeslots of 29 to 31 of the E1 SNCP sink board are used.

Procedure

  1. Cause: The E1 DCN needs to use timeslots of 29 to 31, but these slots are used by other features.
    1. Query the alarm on the NMS. Determine the board that reports the alarm, and determine the number of the path that reports the alarm based on alarm parameters.
    2. Configure the feature (E1 SNCP, 64 kbit/s service cross-connection, or other feature) that uses the timeslots of 29 to 31 in other timeslots.
    3. Check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
