The SRV_SHUTDOWN_LD alarm indicates that the Ethernet private service is stopped. This alarm is reported when the system detects a loopback on the Ethernet private service and stops the service to prevent broadcast storm.

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Possible Causes

The possible causes of the SRV_SHUTDOWN_LD alarm are as follows:

Cause: A loopback is detected on the Ethernet private service. Therefore, the service is stopped.


  1. Identify the fault according to the alarm. Query the shutdown Ethernet private service port and release the loopback by configuring split horizon groups.
  2. Enable the shutdown Ethernet private service port to restore the Ethernet private service.
