The ODC_HUMI_ABN alarm indicates that the ambient humidity in the cabinet crosses the threshold.

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Parameter 1

Indicates the alarm cause.

  • 0x01: The ambient humidity is greater than the upper threshold.
  • 0x02: The ambient humidity is less than the lower threshold.

Impact on the System

High ambient humidity may damage the equipment, and low ambient humidity may shorten the life of the equipment.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The ambient humidity alarm threshold is set to an inappropriate value.
  • The cable between the humidity sensor and the monitoring equipment is incorrectly connected.
  • The humidity sensor is faulty.
  • The monitoring equipment is faulty.


  1. Check whether the ambient humidity alarm threshold is appropriate according to the configuration plan.
    If... Then...

    The threshold is set to an appropriate value

    Go to 2.

    The threshold is set to an inappropriate value

    Set the threshold to an appropriate value.
  2. Check whether the cable between the humidity sensor and the monitoring equipment is correctly connected.
    If... Then...

    The cable is connected incorrectly or loosely

    Connect the cable correctly and securely.

    The cable is deteriorating or damaged

    Replace the cable.

    The cable is connected correctly

    Go to 3.
  3. Rectify the fault on the humidity sensor.
  4. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
    If... Then...

    The alarm is cleared

    No further action is required.

    The alarm persists

    Go to 5.
  5. Rectify the fault on the monitoring equipment.
