The ALM_E1RAI is an alarm indication at the remote end of an E1 link.

This alarm is reported when the local service in the downstream direction is unavailable.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of the ALM_E1RAI alarm are as follows:

The T_ALOS, LFA, LMFA, DOWN_E1_AIS, or UP_E1_AIS alarm is reported at the opposite end of the E1 link. The NE at the local end receives the ALM_E1RAI alarm that is inserted in the downstream by the NE at the opposite end.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the T_ALOS, LFA, LMFA, DOWN_E1_AIS, or UP_E1_AIS alarm is reported at the opposite end of the E1 link.

    If... Then...

    The T_ALOS, LFA, LMFA, UP_E1_AIS, or DOWN_E1_AIS alarm is reported

    Clear the alarm and check whether the ALM_E1RAI alarm is cleared. If the ALM_E1RAI alarm persists, go to the next step.

    The T_ALOS, LFA, LMFA, UP_E1_AIS, and DOWN_E1_AIS alarm are not reported

    Go to the next step.

  2. Contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
