Description

The BD_NOT_INSTALLED alarm indicates that a physical board is installed but its logical board is not created on the U2000.

Parameters

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Impact on the System

When the BD_NOT_INSTALLED alarm is reported, the alarmed slot cannot be configured with services. This alarm, however, does not affect the operation of the system.

The possible cause of the BD_NOT_INSTALLED alarm is as follows:

A physical board is installed in a slot but its logical board is not created on the U2000.

Procedure

  1. Check the BD_NOT_INSTALLED alarm information on the U2000 and confirm the slot number according to Parameter 1.
  2. The BD_NOT_INSTALLED alarm is cleared when the logical board is added to the correct slot on the U2000.
  3. Optional: If the physical board is not being used, remove the physical board to clear this alarm.
