Viewing CIFS Share Information

Viewing CIFS Share Information

This section describes how to view the information about a CIFS share including the share path and access permissions of users or user groups.

Prerequisites

A CIFS share has been created.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Share > CIFS (Windows/MAC).
  3. In the CIFS share list, view the CIFS share information.

    Table 4-19 describes the related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Share Name

    Name of the CIFS share.

    Share Path

    Directory of the CIFS share.

    ID

    ID of the CIFS share.

    Description

    Description of the CIFS share.

    ABE

    Whether the ABE function is enabled for the CIFS share.

  4. In the CIFS share list, select a CIFS share. On the Users/User Groups tab, check the permission of the user or user group of this CIFS share.

    Table 4-20 describes the related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Name of the user or user group.

    ID

    ID of share permission.

    Type

    Type of the user or user group, including:

    • Everyone

      Every user has the access permission.

    • Local authentication user

      Authentication user created in the storage system.

    • Local authentication user group

      Authentication user group created in the storage system.

    • Domain user

      User in the AD domain server.

    • Domain user group

      User group in the AD domain server.

    Permission Level

    Permission for the client to access the CIFS share, including:

    • Full control: The user has full permission for the CIFS share.
    • Read-only (default value): The user can only read the CIFS share.
    • Read and write: The user can read and write the CIFS share.
    • Forbidden: The user is forbidden to access the CIFS share.

  5. Click the Accessible IP Address/Address Segment tab. Query the IP addresses and IP address segments that are allowed to access the CIFS share.

    Table 4-21 describes the related parameters.

  6. Click the File Name Extension Filtering tab. Query the file name extension filtering rule.
