Connecting to the Web-based NMS

Log in to the web-based NMS and perform basic configurations on the NE.

Prerequisites

  • The PowerCube 500 has been powered on.
  • The WLAN module or network cable is normal.

Tools

Laptop with a wireless network card (Internet Explorer 9.0 or later is installed)

Context

NEs can be managed in WLAN or wired access mode.

Procedure

  1. Start the laptop and log in to the operating system.
  2. Set the Internet Explorer.
    1. Perform compatibility view settings and add the IP address of the NE to which you want to log in to the compatibility view.



    2. Add the NE IP address as a trusted site.



    3. Clear the cache.



    4. Choose not to use a proxy server.



  3. Log in to the web-based NMS.
    1. Network connection and settings.

      Wired connection:

      • Use the default IP address of the NE (192.168.102.1) and subnet mask (255.255.255.252) to log in to the web-based NMS.
        NOTE:

        The V200R001C10 version NE does not have a default IP address and is randomly assigned at the factory. V200R001C20 and later versions of NE have a default IP address of 192.168.102.1.

      • The initial user name are szhw, lct, LCD, or root.
      • The initial Password is Changeme_123.
        NOTE:

        Change the account and password based on actual conditions.

      NOTE:

      Before logging in to the web-based NMS, ensure that the fixed IP address and subnet mask of the laptop belong to the same network segment.

      WLAN connection:

      • Use the WLAN search NEs on your laptop. Select the SSID of the NE to be connected to establish a WLAN connection.
      • Use the default IP address of the NE (192.168.1.1) and subnet mask (255.255.255.0) to log in to the web-based NMS.
      • The default SSID is Rmn-last six digits of the MAC address (hexadecimal digits)-NE ID.
        NOTE:

        The default NE ID is a random value.

      • Use the default connection password Modify_123.
        NOTE:

        Change the account and password based on actual conditions.

    2. Login.
