Configuring 802.1ad Bridge-based E-LAN Services

This section uses an IEEE 802.1ad bridge-based E-LAN service as an example to describe how to configure Ethernet services according to the service plan.

Networking Diagram

As shown in Figure 2-7, the service requirements are as follows:

  • The PowerCube 500 needs to transmit Ethernet services from Camera 1 and Camera 2 to the upper-layer network based on IEEE 802.1ad bridge-based E-LAN services.
  • Services from Camera 1 and Camera 2 need to be isolated using VLAN IDs.
    • The VLAN ID is set to 100 for services from between Camera 1 to the Power Cube 500.
    • The VLAN ID is set to 200 for services from between Camera 2 to the Power Cube 500.

  • If Encapsulation Type is 802.1Q or Null, set this parameter to UNI(Port+C-VLAN+S-VLAN).

C-VLAN(1,3–5)

When Encapsulation Type is 802.1Q, this parameter must be specified. Multiple C-VLANs can be configured.

For example, when there are C-VLAN 1, C-VLAN 3, C-VLAN 4, and C-VLAN 5, the configuration format is 1,3-5.
