Creating a VLAN Forwarding Table for an E-Line Service

A VLAN forwarding table enables VLAN ID swapping at the source or sink end of an E-Line service.

As shown in Figure 2-4, The PowerCube 500 needs to transmit Ethernet services from Camera 1 and Camera 2 to the upper-layer network based on VLAN-based E-Line services.

During service transmission, VLAN IDs need to be converted. Therefore, you must configure the VLAN IDs before and after the conversion on the source and sink ends of an E-Line service, and then configure the VLAN forwarding table to achieve the VLAN switching between the source and sink ends.

Data Preparation

The following table describes the data planned for the configuration.
