Configuring QinQ-based E-Line Services

This section uses a QinQ-based E-Line service as an example to describe how to configure Ethernet services according to the service plan.

Networking Diagram

As shown in Figure 2-3, the PowerCube 500 needs to transmit service signals from the Camera to the upper-layer network based on QinQ-based E-Line services.

Data Preparation

The following table describes the data planned for the configuration.

Setting the basic attributes of the ports

Port Enabled


Set this parameter to Enabled.

Encapsulation Type

  • 2-EG8P-3(PORT-3), which is set to Null
  • 2-EG8P-4(PORT-4), which is set to QINQ
When configuring a QinQ-based E-Line service:
  • Set this parameter to Null if the source port needs to encapsulate all packets.
  • Set this parameter to 802.1Q and specify a VLAN ID if the source port needs to encapsulate some packets.
  • Set this parameter to QINQ for QinQ links.

Working Mode


Set this parameter to the same value as that at the peer end. Typically, this parameter is set to Auto-Negotiation at the peer end.

Value range: 1 to 4094.

Configuring a QinQ-based E-Line service

Service ID


Value range: 1 to 1024.
