Masking an Image

After an image is registered successfully, if the image does not need to be displayed in the image list on the ServiceCenter tenant portal, you can use the method described in this section to mask the image.


You have obtained the reverse proxy IP address of the External API plane of the FusionSphere OpenStack controller node, the password of user fsp, and the password of user root.


  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the first node of the FusionSphere OpenStack system as user fsp.

    IP address: reverse proxy IP address of the External API plane

    Username: fsp; default password: Huawei@CLOUD8

  2. Run the following command and switch to user root by entering its password:

    su - root

    The default password is Huawei@CLOUD8!.

  3. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:


  4. Import environment variables.
  5. Run the following command to mask the image:

    glance image-update --property __isregistered=false image ID

    image ID is the ID of the image to be masked.
