Quickly Importing Desktops


This section describes how to discover desktop ECSs to be managed, quickly import computers (VDI), and allocate desktops on the FusionAccess portal of the cascaded ITA.


  • The network between the desktop ECS and FusionAccess is connected.
  • You have logged in to the current tenant's FusionAccess management system.


Initiating a discovery task

  1. On the FusionAccess page of the current tenant, choose Desktop > All Computers > Unmanaged Computer.
  2. Click Manage Discovery Task. The Manage Discovery Task dialog box is displayed.
  3. Wait and make sure that the VM created in the Applying for a Desktop ECS is up and running for at least 5 minutes. Then select Desktop01 and click Start. Click OK on the pages that are displayed.

    Wait for 5 minutes and click Refresh in the Unmanaged Computer. You can view the discovered computers .


    The discovery task automatically stops at the end time. You can also manually stop the task in advance.

Quickly importing computers (VDI)

  1. On the FusionAccess page of the current tenant, click Quick Import.

    The Import Computer page is displayed.

  2. Set the service type to VDI.
  3. Select the domain name as required.
  4. Click Add in Computer list.

    The Select Computer page is displayed.

  5. Select the target computer and click OK.
  6. Create a VM group by customizing its name and description, or select an existing VM group from the drop-down list box.
  7. Configure the local region to which the VM belongs as required.
  8. Configure the OU to which the VM belongs as required.
  9. Click Next.

    The Assign Computer page is displayed.

  10. Select a desktop as required.
  11. Create a desktop group by customizing its name, description, and type, or select an existing desktop group from the drop-down list box.
  12. Select Desktop group name.
  13. Select Desktop group type.
  14. Select a VM naming rule.
  15. Set the VM assignment type.
  16. Assign the user (group) and permission group to the desktop to be allocated.

    • If Desktop group type is Private, you only need to add a user.
    • If Desktop group type is Static pool or Dynamic pool, you can add a user and set a user group.

  17. Click Next.

    The Confirm page is displayed.

  18. Click Confirm if the information is correct.
