Deployment Plan

The FusionAccess desktop application integrates basic platforms and services (including FusionSphere OpenStack, ManageOne ServiceCenter, and ECS) of the FusionCloud V100R006C10 solution and the FusionAccess software to provide a customizable desktop service. By dividing VPC and projects in FusionCloud, this scheme supports isolation of networks and resources of different tenants and enables each tenant to independently manage and customize desktop resources. Based on subnets and security group partitions within each VPC, network isolation within the same tenant is supported.

Only FusionCloud Region Type I and Region Type II are supported.

Figure 2-1 shows the deployment architecture of the desktop application.

In this solution, a public license/cascading ITA and backup server component are deployed in the public management zone of the cloud environment. Each tenant has an independent FusionAccess desktop management system. Public components communicate with management nodes of tenants through the DMZ_Tenant network plane. This solution supports 5000 desktops per tenant and a maximum of 20000 desktops.

Figure 2-2 of this scheme is shown as follows:

NOTE:

If the existing Microsoft AD is used, you do not need to create an AD, DNS or DHCP.

Based on user requirements, you can also deploy optional components, as shown in Table 2-3.

The functions of basic cloud services are as follows:

Mandatory dependency:

  • ECS (Elastic Cloud Server): Provides desktop management VMs and user desktop VMs.
  • IMS (Image Management Service): Provides basic desktop images.
  • EVS (Elastic Volume Service): Provides disks for desktop VMs.
  • VPC (Virtual Private Cloud): Provides a network for bearing desktop VMs.
  • ELB (Elastic Load Balance): Provides the Internet access desktop capability.
  • VFW (Virtual Firewalls): Protects desktop VMs network security.
  • SG (Security Group): Controls network access policies.
  • EIP (Elastic IP address): Combines with SNAT to provide Internet access.

Optional dependency:

  • GPU (GPU-Optimized Elastic Cloud Service): Provides graphics desktop VMs.
  • VPN (Virtual Private Network): Provides the capability of interworking with the enterprise intranet.
  • VBS (Volume Backup Service): Backs up and restores desktop VMs disks.
  • CSBS (Cloud Server Backup Service): Backs up and restores desktop VMs hosts.
  • OBS (Object Storage Service): Stores files with web disk applications.
  • SFS (Scalable File Service): Provides shared file storage.
