Note: This object must be used with user-passwd. It does not take effect when being used alone.

Specifies the user password for accessing an external PDN, which is provided by the carrier.

The value can be a string of 24 to 68 characters in cipher text, for example, %^%#k5bf>8df@:_;Na'+R"U,#L#w88HE1M.L4YY2~W2u0%RDL#z#%^%#, or a string of 1 to 32 characters in plain text, for example, 214357.

Note: This object must be used with user-name. It does not take effect when being used alone.

/huawei-cellular:huawei-cellular/apn-profile/authentication-mode

Specifies the authentication mode.

  • auto: PAP or CHAP authentication
  • pap: PAP authentication
  • chap: CHAP authentication

If this parameter is not specified, the auto mode is used by default.

Note:

Select a proper authentication mode based on the carrier network. PAP authentication provides lower security. When you specify auto or pap to enable the device to use PAP authentication, the password is transmitted in plain text on the network, bringing potential security risks.

Note: This object must be used with user-name and user-passwd. It does not take effect when being used alone.

/huawei-cellular:huawei-cellular/apn-profile/sim-id

Specifies the ID of the SIM card to which the APN profile is bound.

The value can be 1 or 2.

  • The value 1 indicates that the APN profile is bound to the master SIM card.
  • The value 2 indicates that the APN profile is bound to the backup SIM card.

Specifies the APN profile priority.

The value is an integer in the range 1 to 255. The default value is 100.

A larger value indicates a higher priority.

When two SIM cards are available, two APN profiles can be bound to the same LTE cellular or channel interface. The APN profile with a higher priority can access the LTE network first. You are advised to set the priority of the APN profile bound to the master SIM card to be higher than that of the APN profile bound to the backup SIM card.

/ietf-interfaces:interfaces/interface/huawei-cellular:cellular/enable

Indicates that circular dial control center (C-DCC) is enabled.

If this parameter is not specified, false is selected by default, indicating C-DCC is disabled.

Note: This configuration affects APN profile binding. Therefore, the value of this parameter must be set to true, and cannot be changed. Otherwise, the bounded APN profile will disappear, and packets may fail to be delivered.

/ietf-interfaces:interfaces/interface/huawei-cellular:cellular/sim-switch/switch-rssi-threshold

Specifies the RSSI threshold for SIM card switching.

When the received signal strength is lower than the RSSI threshold, the cellular interface automatically switches the SIM card. For example, if the RSSI threshold is set to -105 dBm, SIM card switching is performed when the received signal strength is lower than -105 dBm.

The value is an integer in the range -120 to -60, in dBm.

The recommended RSSI threshold is -105 dBm.

Note: If this node is delivered, the device is required to support the SIM card switching function.

/ietf-interfaces:interfaces/interface/huawei-cellular:cellular/dialer-number/number

Specifies the LTE dialer number. The dialer number is provided by a carrier. Obtain the dialer number from the carrier.

Indicates whether automatic LTE dialup is performed.

The interval of automatic dialup is 300 seconds by default.

Querying Information of a Specified Cellular Interface

This section provides a sample of querying information of a specified cellular interface.

NOTE:

There are two types of packets. Packets of the first type only carry the interface name object. After packets of the first type are delivered, all information about the interface is returned. Packets of the second type carry the object to be queried. If information about the object is queried, the information is returned; otherwise, no information is returned. Information about other objects is not returned.
