System Actions

None

Possible Causes

  • The upper threshold for the flash usage is set to a small value.
  • The available flash space is insufficient.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the value of Subject in alarm locating parameters is CMC1 or CMC2.

  2. Run the smmget -t flash capacity -d thresholdall command on the CLI of the faulty CMC, and check whether the upper threshold for major alarms is set correctly.

    The recommended threshold is 90.00.

If the command output is as follows, the threshold is set properly:

    root@SMM:/# smmget -t flash capacity -d thresholdall
    Upper Non-recoverable: Not supported.
    Upper Critical: 90.000
    Upper Non-critical : Not supported.
    Lower Non-critical : Not supported.
    Lower Critical : Not supported.
    Lower Non-recoverable: Not supported.

  3. Run the smmset -t flash capacity -d uppercritical -v value command (value indicates the upper threshold for major alarms) on the CMC CLI to change the threshold. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 4.

  4. Run the reboot command on the CMC CLI to restart the CMC. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the CMC. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 6.

  6. Contact Huawei technical support.

Clearing

This alarm is cleared when the sensor detects that the flash usage is lower than the upper threshold for major alarms.

After the fault is rectified, the system automatically clears the alarm.
