Querying the Status and Alarms of Components

  1. On the LCD screen, tap the Status tab.

    The Status tab is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-1.

    NOTE:
    • Post Code indicates the status of server port 80.
    • SN indicates the serial number of the server.

    Components are classified into different categories on the Status tab. Tap any component category to enter the component information screen and view the status of all components in this category.

  2. Choose a component category as required and view the status information.

    NOTE:

    The status and alarm severity for components are indicated by icons of different colors. For details, see Icon Description in Function Description.

    Category

    Description

    Board

    Contains the status and alarms of boards and daughter cards.

    1. Tap Board.

      The Board screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of all boards and RAID controller cards.

    CPU

    Contains the status and alarms of CPUs.

    1. Tap CPU.

      The CPU screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of CPUs.

    Memory

    Contains the status and alarms of memory.

    1. Tap Memory.

      The Memory screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of DIMMs.

    HDD

    Contains the status and alarms of hard disks.

    1. Tap HDD.

      The HDD screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of hard disks.

    PS

    Contains the status and alarms of power supply units (PSUs).

    1. Tap PS.

      The PS screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of PSUs.

    FAN

    Contains the status and alarms of fans.

    1. Tap FAN.

      The FAN screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of fans.

    PCIe

    Contains the status and alarms of PCIe cards.

    1. Tap PCIe.

      The PCIe screen is displayed.

    2. View the status and alarms of PCIe cards.

    TEMP

    Contains the temperature of each server component.

    1. Tap TEMP.

      The TEMP screen is displayed.

    2. View the alarms for the temperature status of each server component.

      If the temperature of each component is normal, the following message is displayed on the TEMP screen:

    Device in health state.

    NOTE:

    Tap > to expand the information area to view alarm details.

    VRD

    Contains the voltage alarms of the components.

    1. Tap VRD.

      The VRD screen is displayed.

      NOTE:

      VRD is an abbreviation for Voltage Regulator Down.

    2. View the voltage alarms of the components.

      If the voltage of each component is normal, the following message is displayed on the VRD screen:

    Device in health state.

    NOTE:

    Tap > to expand the information area to view alarm details.

    Others

    Contains the alarms of other components.

    1. Tap Others.

      The Others screen is displayed.

    2. View the alarms of other components.

      If the components are operating properly, the following message is displayed on the Others screen:

    Device in health state.

    NOTE:

    Tap > to expand the information area to view alarm details.
