Installing BackupServer Component


This section describes how to install the BackupServer component.


  • You have logged in to the ManageOne OM plane and accessed the Service OM page.


  1. On the Service OM page, choose Computing > ECS > Compute Instances.
  2. In the row where the FA-TEMPLATE VM resides, click to see the VM details. Click that follows Name and change Name to FA-Pub-Backup.
  3. Log in to the FA-Pub-Backup VM using VNC as user root.
  4. Run the following command to change the host name to FA-Pub-Backup in the OS.

    hostnamectl set-hostname FA-Pub-Backup

  5. Run the following command to restart the VM for the setting to take effect.


  6. After the VM is restarted, log in to the VM as user root again.
  7. Run the following commands and add a default route to the License server:

    echo 'any net netmask gw DMZ_Service network plane gateway' >> /etc/sysconfig/static-routes

    echo 'any cascaded external_relay_network address or external_relay_network address gw DMZ_Tenant network plane gateway dev eth1' >> /etc/sysconfig/static-routes

    For example, if the gateway of the DMZ_Service network plane is, the cascaded external_relay_network address or external_relay_network address is, and the gateway of the DMZ_Tenant network plane is, run the following commands:

    echo 'any net netmask gw' >> /etc/sysconfig/static-routes

    echo 'any net gw dev eth1' >> /etc/sysconfig/static-routes

  8. Run the following command to edit the /etc/init.d/network file:

    vi /etc/init.d/network

  9. Press I to enter the editing mode, and add ip route delete default dev eth1 before exit $rc, as shown in Figure 4-27.

  10. Run the following command to restart network service.

    systemctl daemon-reload

    service network restart


    You can use SSH to log in to the VM using the IP address of the DMZ_Service network plane only after the route is configured.

  11. Enter startTools. The FusionAccess screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-28.

  12. Choose Software > Custom Install and press Enter.

    The Custom Install screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-29.

  13. Select BackupServer and press Enter.

    The Install or Uninstall BackupServer page is displayed.

  14. Select Install BackupServer and press Enter.

    If the BackupServer installed successfully dialog box is displayed, the License is successfully installed.

  15. Press Enter.
  1. Click Esc twice and then click Quit.
