Deploying AutoInstall

Scenarios

This section instructs software installation engineers to install the AutoInstall tool on the license server.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the password for account gandalf and password for account root of the license server.
  • You have obtained the domain names of IAM services, VPC services, IMS services, EVS services, and ECS services registered on the API gateway and the access address and port of Openstack's Nova API. For details, see Information Collection.
  • You have obtained the auto_install_v1.6.20007.zip toolkit.

Procedure

  1. Use the WinSCP software to copy auto_install_v1.6.20007.zip to the /home/FusionAccess directory on the license server as account gandalf.
  2. Use the PuTTY software to log in to the license server as account gandalf.
  3. Run the following command to delete the /home/FusionAccess/auto_install directory:

    rm -rf /home/FusionAccess/auto_install

  4. Run the following command to extract the AutoInstall installation package:

    unzip /home/FusionAccess/Package name -d /home/FusionAccess/

    Take auto_install_v1.6.20007.zip as an example, run the following command:

    unzip /home/FusionAccess/auto_install_v1.6.20007.zip -d /home/FusionAccess/

  1. Run the following command to switch to user root.

    su root

  2. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:

    TMOUT=0

  3. Run the following command to go to the AutoInstall installation directory:

    cd /home/FusionAccess/auto_install

  4. Run the following command to install the AutoInstall software:

    sh init.sh && source /root/.bashrc

    When the InstallResult: SUCCESS prompt is displayed in the command line, the AutoInstall software is successfully installed.

  5. Use vi to edit the AutoInstall configuration file:

    vi /opt/fusionaccess_deploy/conf/endpoint.yml

  6. Change the values in endpoint.yml based on Table 4-14. Save the settings and exit.

    Some parameters in Table 4-14 are described in Information Collection. Obtain related data based on the parameter key.

    To obtain the value, perform the following steps:

    1. Log in to Service OM page.
    2. Choose Management and Deployment > CCS > Cloud System Parameters and click EVS Type.
    3. Find the value of Default Name for the corresponding EVS type, which is the disk type ID of the Linux infrastructure VM.

    That is, the first calculation instance specification, whose Boot Device is Cloud Disk, created in Step 5 of Defining Computing Instance Flavors.
