Scenarios

This section describes how to create a domain user group on the FusionAccess portal of the cascaded ITA and add domain users to the group to uniformly manage users.

NOTE:

A server has the following default domain user groups:

  • Domain Admins: includes specified domain administrators who have all the rights of the domain administrator group.
  • Domain Users: includes all domain users who have the login rights and basic rights to use computers.
  • Guests: provides internal accounts for gusts to access specified computers or domains at specified time.

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the LiteAD domain in Domain/OU.
  • The system administrator has the domain controller management permission.
  • You have logged in to the FusionAccess system.

Data

Table 6-1 describes the data required for performing this operation.

  • The group name consists of digits, letters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
  • It can contain a maximum of 64 characters.

Domain user account and password

The domain user account consists of digits, letters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_), and can contain a maximum of 20 characters.

The password must conform to the following rules:

  • Contains at least one uppercase letter (A to Z), one lowercase letter (a to z), one digit (0 to 9), and one space or special character (~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|{};:'",<.>/?).
  • Follows principles in the password policy.
  • Username: testuser01
  • Password: Huawei123#

Procedure

Creating a domain user group

  1. On the FusionAccess portal of the cascaded ITA, choose System > Domain Controller Management > Domain User Group Management.
  2. Click Create User Group.
  3. Enter a name for the user group to be created, as shown in Figure 6-1.

  4. Click OK.

Creating a domain user

  1. On the FusionAccess portal of the cascaded ITA, choose System > Domain Controller Management > Domain User Management.
  2. Click Create User. The domain user creation page is displayed, as shown in Figure 6-2.

  3. Set information about the domain user to be created.

    Username

    Enter the name of the domain user.

    Password

    Enter the password of the domain user.

    Confirm

    Enter the password of the domain user again.

    Account Options

    • User must change password at next logon: If this option is selected, User cannot change password and Password never expires cannot be selected.
    • User cannot change password: If this option is selected, User must change password at next logon cannot be selected.
    • Password never expires: If this option is selected, User must change password at next logon cannot be selected.
    • Account is disabled: If this option is selected, the user is locked and no account expiration time can be set.

    Account Expires

    • Never: If this option is selected, no account expiration time can be set.
    • End of: If this option is selected, Never cannot be selected. The configured time must be later than or the same as the current time.

    User Group

    Set the group to which the user belongs.

    NOTE:

    By default, domain users are added to group Domain Users of the AD. This domain user group cannot be removed.

    Mailbox

    Set an email address. Only one email address is supported.

    Description

    Set domain user description.

  4. Click OK.
