Scenarios

This section describes how to configure the global license.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the DMZ_Service and DMZ_Tenant network plane IP addresses of the FA-Pub-License VM.
  • You have obtained the DMZ_Tenant network plane IP address of the FA-Pub-Backup VM.

Procedure

Configuring cascading ITA

  1. Use the PuTTY software to log in to the FA-Pub-License VM as account gandalf.
  2. Run the following command and switch to user root.

    su root

  3. Run the following command to configure the ITA on the VM as a cascading ITA.

    sh /opt/fusionaccess_deploy/scripts/config_lic_mode.sh tenant

Load the license

  1. Use a browser to log in to the FusionAccess management system that contains the public license component.

    For details, see Logging In to FusionAccess.

    • Format of the address: https://DMZ_Service network plane IP address of the FA-Pub-License VM:8448
    • User name: admin
    • Password: Cloud12#$

  2. On the FusionAccess portal, click System. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Initial Configuration > Desktop Components.

    The Desktop Components page is displayed.

  3. In the ITA Information area, click Config.
  4. Click OK. In the ITA Information area, set Principal ITA IP to the DMZ_Service network plane IP address of the FA-Pub-License server and enter the password of ITALoginUser.
  5. In the License Information area, click Add.
  6. Set the parameters according to Table 4-15. Retain the default values for the parameters that are not involved and click OK.

  7. Take note of the Equipment Serial Number (ESN).
  8. Apply for a license by using the ESN.

    NOTE:

    If the license quota has been set for some tenants before the license is loaded, you need to set the license quota of these tenants to 0 (not delete), and then load the license. After the license is loaded, set the license quota for these tenants.

  9. In the Operation column of the new license, click .
  10. On the Load License page, select the license file and set the load mode based on site requirements.

    • Selecting Force loaded will skip the following tests: Control_Item_Change_Test, License_Count_Change_Test, and Effective_Date_Test.
    • Selecting Normal loaded does not skip the tests.

  11. Click Load License File.

Configure a backup server

  1. On the FusionAccess portal, click System. In the navigation tree on the left, choose System > Other Configurations > Backup Server.

    The Backup Server page is displayed.

  2. Configure the parameters according to Table 4-16.

  3. Click OK.

    A dialog box is displayed indicating that the configuration is successful.

    The system creates a backup folder on the backup server. The folder is named in the FusionAccess_number format, where number starts from 1 and increases by 1.

  4. Click OK.
