Configuring a Browser for Accessing FusionAccess

Scenarios

When you attempt to log in to FusionAccess using a browser, the FusionAccess portal cannot be displayed properly due to a certificate error.

Preparations

Prerequisites

The FusionAccess portal cannot be displayed properly.

Data

Data preparation is not required for this operation.

Procedure

Performing operations based on the browser type

  1. Log in to FusionAccess using the browser.
  2. Determine the operations to be performed based on the browser type.

    • If Internet Explorer is used, go to Step 3.
    • If Mozilla Firefox is used, go to Step 16.
    • If Google Chrome is used, go to Step 28.
    NOTE:

    FusionAccess supports the following types of browsers:

    • Internet Explorer 8 to Internet Explorer 11
    • Firefox 32 to Firefox 45
    • Google Chrome 37 to Google Chrome 51

    Do not use browsers that are not listed here; otherwise, some buttons may be invalid and the GUI may be displayed abnormally.

Configuring Internet Explorer

  1. In the Internet Explorer address box, click Certificate Error. In the dialog box that is displayed, click View certificates.

    The Certificate dialog box is displayed.

  2. Click Install Certificate.

    The Certificate Import Wizard dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click Next.

    The Certificate Store dialog box is displayed.

  4. Select Place all certificates in the following store, and click Browse.

    The Select Certificate Store dialog box is displayed.

  5. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, and click OK.

    The Certificate Store dialog box is displayed.

  6. Click Next.

    The Completing the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box is displayed.

  7. Click Finish.

    The Security Warning dialog box is displayed.

  8. Click Yes.

    The system displays a dialog box indicating that the root certificate is successfully imported.

  9. Click OK.
  10. In the Certificate dialog box, click OK.
  11. On the Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options.

    The Internet Options dialog box is displayed.

  12. Click the Advanced tab.
  13. In the Settings area, select Use TSL 1.1 and Use TSL 1.2, deselect Warn about certificate address mismatch and click OK.

    The browser home page is displayed. The browser on the local PC is configured.

Configuring Mozilla Firefox

  1. Log in to FusionAccess using Mozilla Firefox, and check whether "This Connection is Untrusted" is displayed.

    • If yes, go to Step 17.
    • If no, no further action is required.

  2. Record the IP address and port number in the displayed information, as shown in the red box in Figure A-1.

  3. Choose Tools > Options.

    The Options dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click Advanced, and select Encryption.
  5. Click View Certificates.

    The Certificate Manager dialog box is displayed.

  6. Click the Servers tab.
  7. Unfold the certificate whose name is huawei, select ssoserver, and click Add Exception.

    The Add Security Exception dialog box is displayed.

  8. In the address box, enter https://IP address:port number recorded Step 17.

    For example, enter https://192.168.111.58:8448.

  9. Click Get Certificate.
  10. Click Confirm Security Exception.

    The Add Security Exception dialog box is closed.

  11. Click OK.

    The Certificate Manager dialog box is closed.

  12. Click OK.

    The Options dialog box is closed, and the browser page is displayed.

Configuring Google Chrome

  1. Log in to FusionAccess using Google Chrome. Check whether "The page cannot be displayed" is displayed.

    • If yes, go to Step 29.
    • If no, no further action is required.

  2. Copy the URL on the page.
  3. Open a new page on the browser, paste the URL to the address box, and press Enter.
  4. Click Continue Anyway.

    The FusionAccess portal is displayed.

  5. Close the newly opened browser page.

    Refresh the FusionAccess portal that is originally displayed improperly and it can be displayed properly after the setting.
