This example describes how to configure the Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) in typical networking.

Networking Requirements

As shown in Figure 7-2, Device A on an IP network function as the server in a TWAMP test. Device B functions as the control-client and specifies the IP address of Device A to start collecting statistics. Device B sends statistics to the performance management system.

Configuration Roadmap

The configuration roadmap for Device A is as follows:

  1. Configure the server.

  2. Configure the session-reflector.

Data Preparation

To complete the configuration, you need the following data:

  • IP address of Device A
  • TCP port number
  • Inactive interval for a control session
  • Inactive interval for a test session

Procedure

  1. Configure Device A, Device B, and the performance management system to be routable. The configuration details are not provided here.
  2. Configure the server.

    <DeviceA> system-view
