(Optional) Removing the RAID Controller Card


  1. Power off the G560 V5. For details, see Powering Off the Compute Node.
  2. Remove the G560 V5. For details, see Removing the G560 V5.
  3. Place the G560 V5 on the ESD floor.
  4. Remove the cover. For details, see Removing the Cover of the G560 V5.
  5. Determine the location of the RAID controller card. See Figure 5-72.

  6. To replace a RAID controller card with a supercapacitor, remove the supercapacitor first. For details, see (Optional) Installing the Supercapacitor.
  7. Loosen the two screws on the RAID controller card using a Phillips screwdriver. See (1) in Figure 5-73.

  8. Lift the RAID controller card away from the connector on the mainboard. See (2) in Figure 5-73.
  9. Place the removed RAID controller card in an ESD bag.
