Table 10-1 describes the environmental specifications of the G560 V5, GP608, and GS608.

  • Operating temperature: 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F)
  • Storage temperature: -40°C to +65°C (-40°F to +149°F)
  • Maximum change rate: 20°C/h (36°F/h)

Humidity (non-condensing)

  • Operating humidity: 8% RH to 90% RH
  • Storage humidity: 5% RH to 95% RH
  • Humidity change rate: < 20% RH/h


  • Maximum altitude: 3048 m (9999.88 ft). When the altitude is higher than 900 m (2952.8 ft), the highest operating temperature decreases by 1°C (1.8°F) for every increase of 300 m (984.24 ft) in altitude.
  • HDDs are not supported at an altitude of over 3000 m (9842.5 ft).

Acoustic noise

Noise emissions are measured in accordance with ISO 7779 (ECMA 74) and declared in accordance with ISO 9296 (ECMA 109). The data listed in the following is the declared A-weighted sound power levels (LWAd) and declared average bystander position A-weighted sound pressure levels (LpAm) when the server is operating in a 23°C (73.4°F) ambient environment:

The actual sound levels generated when the server is operating vary depending on the server configuration, workload, and ambient temperature.


  • One cyclical sweep in each axial direction at the rate of 0.1 oct/min, a total of three axial directions.
  • 5 Hz to 10 Hz: 5 mm (0.2 in., peak-to-peak value).
  • 10 Hz to 100 Hz: 1 m/s2.
