Removing an M.2 SSD

Procedure

  1. Power off the G560 V5. For details, see Powering Off the Compute Node.
  2. Remove the G560 V5. For details, see Removing the G560 V5.
  3. Place the G560 V5 on the ESD floor.
  4. Remove the cover. For details, see Removing the Cover of the G560 V5.
  5. Locate the M.2 SSD to be removed. See Figure 5-47.

  1. Use an M2.5 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw that secures the M.2 SSD. See (1) in Figure 5-48.

  2. Remove the M.2 SSD from the slot. See (2) in Figure 5-48.
  3. Place the removed M.2 SSD into an ESD bag.
