Installing the G560 V5
The GP608 or GS608 and G560 V5 interlock to maximize chassis space and prevent premature removal of the GP608 or GS608. Therefore, you must install the GP608 or GS608 in the upper slot first and then install the G560 V5 in the lower slot.
Procedure
- Install the GP608 or GS608. For details, see Installing the GP608 or Installing the GS608.
- Unpack the packing case.
- Check whether the packing case and seals are in good conditions.
If there is any damage (for example, the package is soaked or deformed, or the seals or pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes are not intact), submit a Cargo Problem Feedback Form.
- Use a box cutter to cut the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape on the packing case.
Be careful with the box cutter to avoid personal injury or equipment damage.
- Unpack the G560 V5.
- If there are multiple G560 V5 modules, take them out from ESD bags and place them separately on the ESD floor, as shown in Figure 4-13.
Do not take out a G560 V5 from its ESD bag if you do not install it immediately.

- Install the G560 V5.
Install filler modules in empty slots to avoid system alarms or performance deterioration.
- Press the release buttons on the G560 V5. See (1) in Figure 4-15.
- Open the ejector levers on the G560 V5 completely. See (2) in Figure 4-15.
- Insert the G560 V5 horizontally into the chassis. See (3) in Figure 4-15.
- Close the ejector levers on the G560 V5. See (4) in Figure 4-15.
- Power on the G560 V5 and check the indicator status.
