Installing an M.2 SSD

Procedure

  1. Power off the G560 V5. For details, see Powering Off the Compute Node.
  2. Remove the G560 V5. For details, see Removing the G560 V5.
  3. Place the G560 V5 on the ESD floor.
  4. Remove the cover. For details, see Removing the Cover of the G560 V5.
  5. Determine the position of the M.2 SSD to be installed. See Figure 5-6.

  1. Take a spare M.2 SSD out of its ESD bag.
  2. Install the M.2 SSD in the slot. See (1) in Figure 5-7.

  3. Use an M2.5 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screw that secures the M.2 SSD. See (2) in Figure 5-7.
