Physical Structure

The G5500 can be configured as a full-width compute node.

  • A full-width compute node consists of one full-width general-purpose compute module and one full-width heterogeneous compute module.
NOTE:
  • The G560 V5 is a full-width general-purpose compute module.
  • The GP608 and GS608 are full-width heterogeneous compute modules.
  • The full-width general-purpose compute module is installed in the lower slot of the chassis, and the full-width heterogeneous compute module is installed in the upper slot above the full-width general-purpose compute module. They are centrally managed by the chassis management module.

The G5500 consists of general-purpose and heterogeneous compute modules. Table 2-1 describes the configuration of a full-width compute node.
