Removing the GS608
The GS608 and G560 V5 interlock to maximize chassis space and prevent premature removal of the GS608. Therefore, you must remove the G560 V5 from the lower slot first and then remove the GS608 from the upper slot.
Procedure
- Remove the G560 V5. For details, see Removing the G560 V5.
- Remove the GS608.
- Press the release buttons on the GS608. See (1) in Figure 3-8.
- Open the ejector levers on the GS608 completely. See (2) in Figure 3-8.
- Pull the GS608 out halfway through the chassis until it cannot move forward. See (3) in Figure 3-8.
- After the GS608 is removed halfway, press the handles on both sides of the GS608. See (1) in Figure 3-8.
A fully configured GS608 is too heavy for one person to carry. To ensure safety, the GS608 is automatically locked when it is pulled out halfway. Two persons are required to remove the GS608.
- Pull the GS608 out of the chassis. See (2) in Figure 3-9.
- Close the ejector levers on the GS608. See (3) in Figure 3-9.
- Place the removed GS608 in an ESD bag.
An ESD bag can hold only one GS608.
