Removing the G560 V5


  1. Determine the position of the G560 V5. See Figure 3-3 and Figure 3-4.

    The G560 V5 is installed in the lower slot of the chassis. The GP608 or GS608 is installed in the upper slot above the G560 V5.

  2. Power off the G560 V5. For details, see Powering Off the Compute Node.
  3. Remove the G560 V5.

    1. Press the release buttons on the G560 V5. See (1) in Figure 3-5.

    2. Open the ejector levers on the G560 V5 completely. See (2) in Figure 3-5.
    3. Pull the G560 V5 out of the chassis. See (3) in Figure 3-5.
    4. Close the ejector levers on the G560 V5. See (4) in Figure 3-5.
    5. Place the removed G560 V5 in an ESD bag.

    An ESD bag can hold only one G560 V5.
