  • Components 1 is optional.
  • The XH321L V5 supports an InfiniBand (IB) NIC that provides one or two 56G or 100G IB ports. The preceding information is for reference only. For details, use the Server Compatibility Checker to check the compatibility.
  • If a server is forcibly powered off, the NC-SI function of LOM ports will be unavailable and you need to refresh the iBMC WebUI to restore the function. The WOL function will also be unavailable.

NOTE:
  • The X722 NIC does not support interconnection with the PoE power supply device, for example, the PoE switch with the PoE function enabled. If the NIC is forcibly connected, the link communication may be abnormal or the NIC may be damaged.
  • To use NIC SR-IOV, enable SR-IOV on the BIOS. The GE electrical LOM ports do not support SR-IOV on Windows OSs.

  • The PCIe slots with the bus width of PCIe x16 are backward compatible with PCIe x8, PCIe x4, and PCIe x1 cards.
  • Table 6-2 lists the default values of B/D/F. If CPUs are not in full configuration or a PCIe card with a PCI bridge is configured, the values of B/D/F may differ.

Installation Position

The XH321L V5 nodes are installed in the slots at the rear of the X6000 chassis. A 2U chassis can house a maximum of four XH321L V5 nodes.

Figure 6-2 shows the XH321L V5 nodes installed in an X6000 chassis according to slot numbers.

SN

A serial number (SN) is a string that uniquely identifies a product. An SN is required when you apply for technical support from Huawei.

Figure 6-3 shows the format of an SN.

  • The first character indicates the year. Digits 1 to 9 indicate 2001 to 2009, letters A to H indicate 2010 to 2017, letters J to N indicate 2018 to 2022, and letters P to Y indicate 2023 to 2032.
    NOTE:

    The years from 2010 are represented by upper-case letters excluding I, O, and Z because the three letters are similar to digits 1, 0, and 2.

  • The second character indicates the month. Digits 1 to 9 indicate January to September, and letters A to C indicate October to December.
