M.2 SSD Module in an Avago SAS3004iMR RAID Controller Card

Removing an M.2 SSD Module

  1. Wear ESD gloves.

    NOTE:

    M.2 SSD module supports hard disk hot swap. You do not need to power off the server when removing an M.2 SSD module.

  2. Open the handle that secures the M.2 SSD module and pull the module out in the arrow direction. See Figure 3-27.

  3. Place the removed M.2 SSD module in an ESD bag.

Installing an M.2 SSD Module

  1. Wear ESD gloves.

    NOTE:

    M.2 SSD module supports hard disk hot swap. You do not need to power off the server when installing an M.2 SSD module.

  2. Take an M.2 SSD module out of its ESD bag.
  3. Open the handle of the M.2 SSD module, push the module into the slot in the Avago SAS3004iMR RAID controller card, and close the handle. See Figure 3-28.
