Configuring an LDC Board (Manually by Station)

This topic describes the procedure and example of configuring services by station when an LDC board runs at different rates and in different port working modes.

Configuration Procedures

This topic describes the configuration process of an LDC board.

General Configuration Procedure

Figure 2-71 shows the general configuration procedure for the LDC board.

1 Configure the port rate mode.

Mandatory

Set the line-side rate mode of the LDC board.
  • Parameter settings:
    • 100G_QPSK
    • 200G_16QAM
    • 200G_8QAM
  • Operation description: In the NE Explorer, select an LDC board, choose Configuration > WDM Interface from the Function Tree, click the Advanced Attributes tab, and set Port Rate Mode of the WDM-side port.
NOTE:

If service cross-connections have been configured, delete the service cross-connections of the LDC board first, and then verify that the service type of the client-side port is None. The line-side rate mode can be changed only when the service type of the client-side port is None.

In the following scenarios, the line-side rate cannot be changed to 100G_QPSK.
  • If the Port Working Mode of the optical port 4(RX2/TX2) is ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.
  • If the Port Working Mode of the optical port 3(RX1/TX1) is ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4) and that of the optical port 4(RX2/TX2) is ODUflex non-convergence mode(Any->ODUflex), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.
  • If Port Working Mode for optical port 3 (RX1/TX1) or optical port 4 (RX2/TX2) is ODUflex FC mode (FC->ODUflex), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.
2 Configure the port working mode.

Mandatory

  • Parameter settings:
    • ODUflex FC mode (FC->ODU4)
    • ODUflex non-convergence mode(Any->ODUflex)
    • ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4)
    • NONE(not for ports)
  • Operation description: For details about the configuration procedure, see Configuring the Working Mode.
3 Configure the service type.

Mandatory

  • Parameter settings:
    • None (default)
    • 100GE
    • OTU4
    • FC-1600
    • FC-3200
  • Operation description: For details about the configuration procedure, see Configuring the Service Type.
4 Configure service cross-connections.

Optional

NOTE:
  • If the port working mode is ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4), service cross-connections do not need to be created.
  • If the port working mode is ODUflex non-convergence mode (Any->ODUflex) or ODUflex FC mode (FC->ODUflex), service cross-connections need to be created.
  • Parameter settings:
    • For FC services, the parameters for creating service cross-connections are set as follows:
      • Level: ODUflex
      • Service Type: FC1600 or FC3200
    • For 100GE services, the parameters for creating service cross-connections are set as follows:
      • Level: ODUflex
      • Service Type: PACKET
      • Occupied ODTUK Timeslots: 1-80

Configuration Example: FC1600 -> ODUflex -> ODU4 -> OTU4 Services

This topic describes the per-NE configuration process of FC1600 -> ODUflex -> ODU4 -> OTU4 services. The configuration of one site is used as an example, and the configuration of the other site is the same as that of the site.

Prerequisites

You must be an NM user with "NE operator" authority or higher.

Procedure

  1. Set the line-side rate mode of a board.



    NOTE:

    If service cross-connections have been configured, delete the service cross-connections of the LDC board first, and then verify that the service type of the client-side port is None. The line-side rate mode can be changed only when the service type of the client-side port is None.

    In the following scenarios, the line-side rate cannot be changed to 100G_QPSK.
    • If the Port Working Mode of the optical port 4(RX2/TX2) is ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.
    • If the Port Working Mode of the optical port 3(RX1/TX1) is ODU4 non-convergence mode(Any->ODU4) and that of the optical port 4(RX2/TX2) is ODUflex non-convergence mode(Any->ODUflex), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.
    • If Port Working Mode for optical port 3 (RX1/TX1) or optical port 4 (RX2/TX2) is ODUflex FC mode (FC->ODUflex), the line-side rate cannot be switched to 100G_QPSK.

  2. Set the port working mode. For details, see Configuring the Working Mode.



    NOTE:
    • If the port rate mode is 100G_QPSK, set the port working mode to ODUflex non-convergence mode (Any->ODUflex).
    • If the port rate mode is 200G_16QAM, set the port working mode ODUflex FC mode (FC->ODUflex).

  3. Configure the board service type. For details, see Configuring the Service Type.



  4. Configure service cross-connections.

    1. Navigate to the following path.

    2. Configure the cross-connection from TX1/RX1 to IN/OUT.

    3. Configure the cross-connection from TX2/RX2 to IN/OUT.

Result

After the creation is completed, the following information is displayed.

Configuration Example: FC3200 -> ODUflex FC -> ODUC2 -> OTUC2 Services
