Parameters: Creating PW APS/MC-PW APS/PW FPS Protection Groups

Parameters: Creating PW APS/MC-PW APS/PW FPS Protection Groups

This section describes the parameters for configuring PW APS/MC-PW APS/PW FPS on a per-NE basis.

Table 3-75 describes the parameters for configuring PW APS/MC-PW APS/PW FPS on a per-NE basis.

Table 3-75 Parameters for creating PW APS/MC-PW APS/PW FPS protection groups

Parameter

Value Range

Description

Protection Group ID

1-65535

Example: 1

Specifies the ID of a protection group.

Peer Protection Group ID

1-65535

Example: 1

Specifies the protection group ID of the other dual-homing node.

Protection Type

PW APS, MC PW APS/PW FPS

Default value: PW APS

Sets and displays the protection type of the protection group.

PW APS Enable Status

Disabled, Enabled

Default value: Enabled

Sets the enable/disable status of the protection group protocol.

It is recommended that you set PW APS Enable Status to Disabled during the configuration process of PW APS or MC PW APS. Enable the protocol only after the APS protection group is successfully created on the NEs at both ends.

Working PW Role

PW APS, E-PW APS master, E-PW APS slave

Default value: PW APS

Sets the role of working PW.

PW APS: indicates that the protection group is a PW APS or PW FPS protection group.

E-PW APS master: indicates that the protection group is an MC-PW APS protection group and is configured on the master dual-homing node.

E-PW APS master: indicates that the protection group is an MC-PW APS protection group and is configured on the slave dual-homing node.

Protection Mode

-

Indicates the protection mode of a protection group.

Switching Mode

-

Indicates the switching mode of a protection group.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Default value: Revertive

Specifies whether the service is switched back to the working PW after the working PW is restored.

The values are as follows:

After the working PW is restored, the service is switched back to the working PW if Revertive Mode is set to Revertive, and the service is still transmitted over the protection PW if Revertive Mode is set to Non-Revertive.

Switchover WTR Time(min)

1 to 12

Default value: 5

Specifies the switchover restoration time.

It refers to the period taken to switch the service to the working PW after the working PW is restored.

This setting helps prevent frequent switching events before the working PW becomes stable.

It is recommended that you set this parameter to the default value.

Switchover Hold-off time(100ms)

0 to 100

Default value: 0

Specifies the switchover hold-off time.

If a hold-off time is specified, switching does not occur immediately after a switching condition is detected; instead, switching occurs after the switching condition is still detected even when the preset hold-off time elapses.

This setting helps prevent undesired switching due to a transient fault.

It is recommended that you set this parameter to the default value.

Switchover Status

-

Indicates the switching status of a protection group.

Protocol Status

-

Indicates the protocol status of a protection group.

Working Path Availability

-

Indicates the current status of the working path.

Sets the protection group name.

Alarm Information

-

Indicates the alarm information of a protection group.
