This topic describes the configuration process for an EoO board that receives and transmits data services.

Table 5-1 describes the configuration steps.

1 Set the port type.

Mandatory

  • Set the port type to Ethernet Port of an EoO board.
  • Operation description: For details about the configuration procedure, see Setting the Port Type.
2 Set Ethernet interface attributes.

Mandatory

  • Set the Ethernet interface attributes of an EoO board.
  • Operation description: For details about the configuration procedure, see the Ethernet interface configuration process of Carry Ethernet service in Configuring an Ethernet Port.
NOTE:
On the network where a universal line board is used and data services are received on an EoO board, you do not need to configure virtual port mapping for the universal line board.
3 Configure service trails.

Mandatory

  • Configure the ODUk trails used by data services of the EoO board.
  • When you configure the source and sink ports of the trail, the port working mode must be set based on the actually used optical module.
  • Operation description: For details about the configuration method, see Creating ODUk Trails.
4 Configure data services for the EoO board.

Mandatory

  • Configure data services from the source NE to the sink NE on the EoO board.
  • Operation description: E-Line services that are transparently transmitted in point-to-point mode are used as an example. For details about the configuration method, see Process of Service Configuration in E2E Mode.
