This topic provides an example for configuring E-Line services based on QinQ Link.

Networking Diagram

This topic describes the NE networking.

As shown in Figure 3-30, you can add the same S-VLAN tag to the client-side services with different C-VLAN tags, so that the services can be encapsulated into one VLAN on the transport network for transmission.

  1. The service packets from users A1 and B1 carry different C-VLAN tags and are transmitted to NE1 through port 1. The C-VLAN ID of service packets from user A1 is 10, and that of service packets from user B1 is 20.
  2. When service packets arrive at a carrier network, carrier-defined S-VLANs with VLAN ID 100 are added to the packets on port 1.
  3. When the service packets arrive at NE2, the device strips S-VLAN tags from the service packets on the user-side port, and forwards the service packets to the destination users based on the VLAN IDs (10 or 20).

Service Planning

This topic describes the planning for the E-Line services based on QinQ Link.

Working Mode Auto-Negotiation
  • If the peer Ethernet port works in another mode, the local Ethernet port must work in a consistent mode.
  • The working modes of the Ethernet ports within the backhaul network are uniformly planned as auto-negotiation.
Max Frame Length(byte) 1620 Generally, this parameter takes the default value of 1620 bytes. If jumbo frames with a greater length need to be transmitted, set the maximum frame length to the actual length of these jumbo frames.
Laser Interface Status On -
Tag Tag Aware In this example, all the services carry VLAN IDs. Therefore, the tag attribute of all the service ports is Tag Aware.

Configuring E-Line Services on a Per-NE Basis

This topic describes how to configure QinQ Link–based E-Line services on a per-NE basis based on the service planning.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an NM user with "NE operator" authority or higher.
  • You must understand the networking, requirements, and service planning of the example.

  1. Configure Ethernet interface attributes. For the E-Line services based on QinQ Link, you must configure basic attributes and Layer 2 attributes. Specifically, Encapsulation Type must be set to QinQ. For details about how to configure the attributes, see Configuring an Ethernet Port.
