(Optional) Mounting the Smart Provisioning Image Using a Virtual DVD Drive

Data Preparations

Download the image package of the latest version from the Support-E website, such as SmartProvisioning-V110.iso.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KVM by using either of the following modes:

    • Use the iBMC to log in to the KVM from a web page.
      1. Log in to the iBMC WebUI.
      2. Access the KVM using the Remote Console page.
        • Choose Remote Console from the main menu, and click Java Integrated Remote Console (Shared) or Java Integrated Remote Console (private).The KVM screen is displayed.
          NOTE:

          If you click Java Integrated Remote Console (Shared), two users are allowed to simultaneously access and perform operations on the server. Each user can view the operations performed by the other user, which causes security risks.

        • Choose Remote Console from the main menu, and click HTML5 Integrated Remote Console (private) or HTML5 Integrated Remote Console (Shared).

          The KVM screen is displayed.

          NOTE:

          If you click HTML5 Integrated Remote Console (Shared), two users are allowed to simultaneously access and perform operations on the server. Each user can view the operations performed by the other user, which causes security risks.

    • Download the KVM software and log in.

      Log in to the Independent Remote Console, click Download, select the KVM package corresponding to the OS, download it, and log in.

  2. On the KVM screen, upload the image file, and click Link, as shown in Figure 2-1.

  3. Press F11 when the following screen is displayed.

  4. Enter the current BIOS password. The default password is Admin@9000.

  5. Select BootManager in the displayed screen, and press Enter.

  6. Select the option for booting from the DVD drive in the displayed screen, as shown in Figure 2-5.

  7. After the booting is complete, the Smart Provisioning main window is displayed. Perform subsequent operations.

    NOTE:
    • To load another image file, click Eject to eject the existing DVD image file, select the new DVD image file, and click Insert.
    • To dismount the virtual DVD drive, click Disconnect. Then, click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.
