Overview of the BootLoader Menu

Overview of the BootLoader Menu

On the AR3600, the BootLoader is a Linux application and is used to upgrade system files, save system settings, and manage files in partitions and startup programs.

You can use the BootLoader menu in the following situations:

  • When the system breaks down and the command line interface cannot be accessed, use the BootLoader menu to restore or upgrade the system.
  • To prevent configuration loss, use the BootLoader menu to back up the configuration file.
  • To prevent unauthorized users from accessing the BootLoader menu, use the BootLoader menu to modify the password for accessing the BootLoader menu.
  • When you fail to log in to the device because the console port password is forgotten, use the BootLoader menu to delete the console port password.
