Licensing Requirements and Limitations for Smart Upgrade

Licensing Requirements and Limitations for Smart Upgrade

Involved Network Elements

An AR router needs to cooperate with the HOUP to implement smart upgrade.

Licensing Requirements

Smart upgrade is a basic feature of an AR router and is not under license control.

Feature Limitations

  • Only the AR100, AR120, AR150, AR160, AR200, and AR1200 series routers support this function.

  • The router will restart during the upgrade, interrupting services.

  • During smart upgrade, the router automatically saves the configuration information. To avoid unexpected configuration loss, you are advised to save the current configuration and export the configuration file in advance.
