Enabling BFD for OSPFv3

Enabling BFD for OSPFv3

On the two routers that need to establish a BFD session, you can configure BFD for all the interfaces in a certain OSPFv3 process.


  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run bfd

    BFD is globally configured.

  3. Run quit

    Return to the system view.

  4. Run ospfv3 process-id

    The OSPFv3 view is displayed.

  5. Run bfd all-interfaces enable

    BFD for OSPFv3 is enabled to establish a BFD session.

    By default, BFD is disabled at OSPFv3 process level.
