Configuring the Tariff Level

Configuring the Tariff Level

Context

After identifying the traffic destined for different networks, the device associates traffic with tariff levels through traffic groups, based on which the device collects statistics and enforces policies on different types of traffic.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run traffic-group group-name

A traffic group is created and the traffic group view is displayed.

By default, no traffic group exists on the device.

  3. Run acl acl-number tariff-level tariff-level

    The tariff level is configured.

By default, no tariff level is configured.

    NOTE:
    • In a traffic group, you can specify tariff levels for a maximum of 8 ACLs.

    • Different ACLs can share the same tariff level.

    • If there is an ACL rule with both the source and destination addresses configured and the destination address is the same as that in another ACL rule, you are advised to match this ACL rule with a tariff level (tariff-level) with a small value during configuration. For example, most users accessing destination address A on the network use the same tariff corresponding to ACL 3000, and a small number of users with source address B and accessing destination address A use another tariff corresponding to ACL 3001. In this case, the tariff level corresponding to ACL 3001 should have a smaller value than the tariff level corresponding to ACL 3000.

  4. Run quit

    Return to the system view.

  5. Run traffic-group group-name enable

The traffic group is applied to the device globally.

By default, no traffic group is applied to the device.

    NOTE:

If you modify a traffic group that has been applied, the modification takes effect only after the traffic group is applied to the device again by using this step.

    • The acl tariff-level command changes the tariff level of traffic.
    • The rule (advanced ACL view) command changes the source or destination address in the traffic classification rule.
