Configuring Large ICMP Packet Attack Defense


For large ICMP packet attack defense, you only need set the maximum packet length. When the length of an ICMP packet exceeds the limit, the firewall considers the packet as an attack packet and discards it.


  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run firewall defend large-icmp max-length length

    The maximum length of ICMP packet is set.

    By default, the maximum length of an ICMP packet is 4000 bytes.
